I wanted to share with you my boring plant stand around the house. I love this plant stand, because my daughter made a mosiac on the top of an old stool and repurposed it for a plant stand for me, but it just looked boring compared to everything else in the house that is over-decorated for Christmas. I just didn't know what to do, until I found some ideas out in blogland for my house. What I found was someone (and I'm sorry I don't have which blog, because I looked at so many! If it's you, please comment and I will link you happily!) had put decorations, ornaments, etc. on their lamps. 
Here's the close up of the sign I tied to my lamp with a ribbon. Well, I didn't feel that was finished yet, because the stool still wasn't Christmassy yet. (Is that a word?)
My Christmas card basket (handmade by the way - my aunt always finds me wonderful things like this!) didn't really have a place this year - so here it is! I tied it with wire ribbon leftover from last year's gift wrapping. I thought it was too beautiful to waste, so kept it, much to my dh's dismay! Looks really nice. I might throw a few Christmas tree balls under the plant. I love the mosaic top on the stool. And you're so lucky to have a real handmade basket!!
