Busy Summertime!

I am sorry that I haven't had the time to get any postings up recently, but I have been very busy with getting things finished up before having summer guests here!  We've been doing extra homeschooling every day in an effort to get everything done for the year.  Usually we go for the entire summer (with a lighter schedule) so I'm not so pressed to work  a strict schedule during the winter with the kids, but I would like to have a break for our guests this year.  I've been running a tight schedule, and I'll share with you in the fall what I did to put the kids on a schedule.

In addition to school and the other usual household stuff that goes one, here's one of the things that we have been doing:
My son is trying to raise enough funds to go on an foreign exchange trip to Japan next summer, so we are selling plants to pay for the trip.  We've been selling our perennials that are divided up from our driveway, but this year, we are trying to be more serious about it by joining our local Farmer's Market, too.  So far, we are doing pretty well, but it is a lot of work to get everything potted up and ready for the weekly sales.

I'll be doing the best I can this summer to keep you posted on a regular basis, but please don't be too disappointed if it's pretty sporadic.  If you live in Sparta, WI area and are interested in our plants, please consider contacting me directly to support my son's trip.
